In real estate, the adage is: location, location, location. The same might hold true for skin health, according to a new study from Compare the Market, an Australian-based comparison website. The research factored in environmental aggressors that impact skin, such as UV light and local air pollution.

The city that topped the list: Bergen, Norway.

Less sunlight was one factor that helped the city garner the top. However, aside from the fact that it averages just 77.14 hours of sunlight per month, the Norwegian city scored highly for most of the factors studied.

Second place went to another Norwegian city. Oslo fell behind neighboring Bergen on factors such as air pollution and sunshine hours.

Helsinki and Copenhagen shared third place. Helsinki has the lowest air pollution of each of the cities analyzed, with a score of just 13.76 out of 100 and also scored highly for its low average temperatures. Copenhagen scored well across the board, but especially when it comes to the average working hours in Denmark, which stand at just 1,400 a year.

The top ranked city in the US was New York City, which ranked No. 23.
